E.W. BROWN POWER GENERATING STATION
Harrodsburg, KY

This was a challenging project on many levels.  KU has some of the most stringent safety requirements of any entity in the US – their safety standards exceed even those of OSHA.  In order to complete this project, we were required to become Passport Safety Certified using a certified Passport Trainer. In addition, we were required to maintain detailed job and safety records.

The job was multidimensional and consisted of cold plane milling, removal and paving of the existing gravel roads and overlaying existing paved roads and parking lots.  Follow this link to view some job photos and videos.

The completion of the job was to be done while the plant was in continuous operation so as not to interrupt power service to Central Kentucky.  In addition, there was an aggressive completion schedule set by KU which APM beat by two weeks.
